Lenticular sharpening, or convex sharpening, shows itself very well under shock loads, during cutting reeds, coastal shrubs, and grass, large raw bones, keratinized branches.
The angle ranges are determined by the position of the rod in the nozzle. The nozzle is marked with the appropriate angle range. As the abrasive moves along with the approach from the line of the cutting edge to the butt of the knife, the range of angles changes in the direction of decreasing the angle. It is necessary to choose a range of sharpening angles depending on the thickness of the blade. With a minimum thickness of 0.2 - 0.4 mm, a nozzle of 4.3 degrees will do; with an average thickness of 0.4 - 0.6 mm, a nozzle of 7.2 degrees; with thick convergence from 0.7 mm, the nozzle is 10.7 degrees.
