Naturally, the main criterion for its quality is the intensity of its wear, it should be minimal. This is achieved by simply increasing the hardness of the bond to the maximum possible. The baking of such a bundle usually occurs at temperatures of 900-1300 degrees. Plasticity also plays an important role in the work of the bond, since it is necessary to ensure complete coverage of the abrasive grains with the bond, without gaps. In addition, the effectiveness of the bond also depends on the thermal conductivity, which determines the intensity of the heat flux removal and ensures minimal heating of the working area of the tool. The number of materials that can give such characteristics is not large. The most common are copper-aluminum, copper-tin, and aluminum-zinc ligaments.
