Metallic CBN Sharpening Stones: are used for sharpening knives using Hapstone sharpeners. CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) is the second-hardest material after diamond. CBN's qualities include its high levels of high hardness, strength, abrasion resistance, and thermal and chemical resistance. These characteristics exceed the values of synthetic diamonds and conventional abrasives such as silicon carbide and aluminum oxide. In particular, CBN's high thermal stability and chemical resistance make it suitable for sharpening in conditions where synthetic diamonds are not normally employed. CBN offers excellent performance in sharpening knives of any steel. Due to its high resistance, CBN can be used dry without lubricant. This makes CBN the cleanest of the available sharpening stones. Metallic CBN stones utilize copper-tin alloy bonding for high endurance and low wearing rate. Metallic CBN Stones consist of a 3 mm thick CBN-bearing metal plate
The MS-1 bundle includes the following components: copper, tin, diamond, additional silicon carbide filler, which is finer in the diamond fraction, and other components that allow you to actively remove metal during the entire service life.
The bond of the grinding tool is a binder, with the help of which the grains of the abrasive material are combined into a mass of high strength. One of the most common bonds, along with organic and galvanic bonds, is a metal bond. It is mainly used for bonding diamonds and CBN (artificial diamond) abrasives. The structure of the metal bond traditionally includes various metals: tungsten and cobalt, iron and nickel, and copper and tin. Abrasives on this bond are usually designated with the letter M and have a light gray tint.
The metal bond, according to its main purpose, must hold diamond grains on the working surface of the tool and at the same time withstand mechanical and thermal loads. Naturally, the main criterion for its quality is the intensity of its wear, it should be minimal. This is achieved by simply increasing the hardness of the bond to the maximum possible. The baking of such a bundle usually occurs at temperatures of 900-1300 degrees. Plasticity also plays an important role in the work of the bond, since it is necessary to ensure complete coverage of the abrasive grains with the bond, without gaps. In addition, the effectiveness of the bond also depends on the thermal conductivity, which determines the intensity of the heat flux removal and ensures minimal heating of the working area of the tool. The number of materials that can give such characteristics is not large. The most common are copper-aluminum, copper-tin, and aluminum-zinc ligaments.
The sides are marked with greatness according to the state standard scale.

HOW TO USE: Metallic CBN can be used; without lubricants. Metallic CBN stones may have tone; imperfections. Metallic CBN may become darker over time due to natural metal oxidizing, it does not affect the sharpening. Metallic CBN stones do not require any; preparations.
These stones suit Blitz, Blitz 360, Kadet, and K03 knife sharpeners.
